Real Housewives' Hanna Kinsella to star in new series as fans worry about her 'take down' after major row

It's only been back for one episode and already there's drama kicking off in the new series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire. Just minutes into the first episode of the 16th series of the ITV reality show, Rachel Lugo was confiding in Hanna Kinsella about the 'cracks' in her relationship with her partner Nick.

Rachel told Hanna about an upsetting call during which Nick had asked Rachel where he fitted in to her busy life. "He called the other day and actually started crying on the phone and said 'where do I fit in?'" said Rachel, who recently became a grandmother when her daughter Sophia welcomed a baby girl.

Hanna looked stunned and told Rachel: "He needs to be adding to your life and making it better and easier, not being another stress." An emotional Rachel told her friend: "I've done a good job spreading myself out among everyone and keeping everyone happy." And Hanna told her firmly: "Forget everyone else's happiness, what makes you happy?"

But later in the episode at a glitzy event, there were fireworks as it was Nick's turn to confide in Hanna after she went to check on him, saying he was miffed because he had hardly seen Rachel all night. "I'll introduce myself to Rachel in a minute," he could be heard saying off camera.

Hanna said sympathetically: "Yeah I know." And she told him: "There's only so much you can take before it's like ...You've got to do what's right for you and don't compromise."

Then, as an upset Rachel received the news that Nick had removed his microphone and was heading home, she said in tears: "If someone doesn't understand my life they can f*** off."

As fellow Housewife Seema Malhtra went to speak to Nick, she was gobsmacked when he relayed his conversation with Hanna. But Hanna insisted in her piece to the camera after the event: "I know what I said to Nick and I know what Nick said to me and ultimately I have Rachel's best interests at heart. I've done nothing wrong here."

In a teaser for Monday's episode Rachel was seen telling Nicole Sealey: "I've got it recorded on my phone what Nick says she said." And she played back a recording of Nick saying that Hanna told him 'you know I love you Nick, I really love you. But you've got to do what's right for you. You've got to do what's rght for your heart.'" And Rachel said: "I can't help but feel she's broken a little but of girl code."
