Real estate solicitor moves from Aberdeen practice to Dundee firm

Law firm Thorntons has appointed real estate solicitor Gemma Hardie as an associate in commercial property based in Dundee and St Andrews.

Hardie moves from Burness Paull in Aberdeen having worked exclusively in commercial property since 2009. She has experience in the acquisition and management of large multi-occupancy investments such as shopping centres and industrial estates, as well as development and funding transactions.

The University of Dundee graduate previously worked for Morton Fraser in Glasgow and has acted for tenants, landlords, developers, retailers, investment clients and commercial SIPP providers.

She said: “Having studied at Dundee University I remember Thorntons well and have always held it in high regard. The firm has expanded and progressed significantly since my university days and I was keen to be part of such a diverse and dynamic firm.”

Ewan Miller, business law partner at Thorntons, said: “We are delighted that Gemma has chosen to join our team based in Dundee. I have no doubt she will be bringing with her a wealth of experience and skills that will be a huge asset to both Thorntons and our clients.”
