Real estate giant names three new directors in Scotland

Canadian real estate giant Avison Young has strengthened its senior leadership team in Glasgow and Edinburgh with a trio of promotions.

Gillian Brown becomes a director in the Property Management Consultancy (PMC) team in Edinburgh while Stuart Jolly and Murray Watson take up director roles in Glasgow for the Valuation and Building teams respectively.

The appointments are among 42 promotions Avison Young has made across its network of UK offices.

The promotions follow the announcement earlier this year that Avison Young has welcomed more than 100 new principals, four of them based in Scotland.

Alison Taylor, Avison Young principal, Glasgow said: “These key appointments are a testament to the wider strength of Avison Young's base in Scotland.

“Each of the directors are specialists, highly regarded in their respective markets, and will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward.”

Stuart Agnew, Avison Young principal, Edinburgh, said: “These promotions underpin the significance of the Scottish property market at Avison Young, as the region continues to offer tangible returns for investors.

“It is only logical that we echo that by reinforcing our senior team. “
