Reading Festival: Woman, 20, dies after attending music event

A 20-year-old woman has died in hospital after attending Reading Festival.

It is understood the festival-goer had a pre-existing health condition.

She was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital and died on Friday evening, organisers Festival Republic said.

Organisers confirmed the tragedy and expressed their condolences to the young woman’s family.

“It is with deep sadness that Festival Republic confirms there has been a death at Royal Berkshire Hospital,” they told the BBC in a statement.
