A 51-year-old man was given a prison sentence of ten weeks, suspended for 12 months.

The sentence delivered to Mark Daws, of Bramble Close, Bilsthorpe, was suspended because of medical conditions and remorse.

He pleaded guilty to drink-driving in an Audi A3 in Mickledale Lane, Bilsthorpe, after he had 129 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over the limit of 35, on December 7.

There was an acceptance of the seriousness of the offence, willingness to engage with probation and steps taken to access help, Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard.
