Reaction to Nottingham Forest scarf spotted ringside at WWE WrestleMania final beamed to millions worldwide

As if seeing a Nottingham Forest scarf on Line of Duty last night (April 7) wasn't quite enough for one night, there was a Reds fan spotted on the live worldwide broadcast of the WWE WrestleMania final taking place in New Jersey.

Episode one of the BBC police drama starring Nottingham actress Vicky McClure had seen a Reds mug appear during one scene featuring Toton actor Kai Reid, McClure's nephew who plays her character DI Kate Fleming's son, Josh. Last night's second episode saw him displaying Nottingham Forest scarf 'stars' in Line of Duty following last week's Reds mug - so what's next?.

Hours later, another Reds fan was seen waving his scarf above his head ringside at the WrestleMania final screened live to millions across the globe.

"Just seen a Nottingham Forest scarf at WrestleMania lolol," said RedDeadRed.

"Forest all over the world," tweeted EnglishPulisic.

Although not everyone was pleased to see it.

Nathan Cross, clearly not a Red, tweeted: "Saw a Forest fan at WrestleMania, he probably wanted to watch something better than the mediocre sh*te he watches every week in the Chumpionship."

Here's how fans reacted:
