Reacting to Rajon Rondo’s return to visit the Boston Celtics practice

Champion Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo made a surprising return to a recent Celtics practice, and it was revealed that he received an invitation from his former teammate, Hall of Fame Boston small forward Paul Pierce in response to the call sent out by Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla for players from Boston’s decorated past to be close to the ball club as it gears up for another run at a title.

Rondo shared that the invitation was a pleasant surprise and that he’s excited to be back in Boston. The practice session had a college-like feel, with many former players returning to support the team. Rondo’s presence is seen as a significant nod to where the team is at in terms of contention, and his basketball knowledge and experience are a welcome source of information this version of the team can lean on when he is around.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast recently got together to talk about Rondo’s visit.

Check it out in the clip embedded above.
