NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will step into IPL 2025 under the leadership of their new captain, Rajat Patidar, as they kick off their campaign against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in the tournament opener on March 22.
RCB, still in pursuit of their maiden IPL title since the tournament's inception in 2008, will be hoping for a change in fortunes under Patidar’s leadership.

One of the most anticipated clashes of the season, the RCB vs CSK rivalry, will take place on March 28 in Chennai, with the reverse fixture scheduled for May 3 in Bengaluru.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the full IPL 2025 schedule, with the final set for May 25, 2025.
This season will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, including 12 double-headers. Afternoon matches will begin at 3:30 PM IST, while evening games will start at 7:30 PM IST.
The tournament will culminate at Eden Gardens, where Qualifier 2 and the final will be played at Eden Gardens n Kolkata.
