RBSO, Jayanat Wisaijorn present 'Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff'

The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra presents "Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff", an evening of depth, precision and distinguished musical collaboration, at Chulalongkorn University's Auditorium, Phaya Thai Road, on June 14 at 7pm.

Conducted by the orchestra's resident maestro Vanich Potavanich, the concert brings together two monumental works from the Russian symphonic repertoire in an evening celebrating emotional intensity, virtuosity and orchestral grandeur.

The concert will feature acclaimed Thai pianist Jayanat Wisaijorn as soloist in Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 In B-Flat Minor, one of the most beloved works in the piano repertoire, renowned for its majestic opening, sweeping lyricism and dazzling virtuosity.

The programme will conclude with Sergei Rachmaninoff's Symphony No.2 In E Minor, celebrated with its expansive melodies, lush orchestration and profound emotional depth, firmly establishing itself as one of the great symphonic achievements of the Romantic era.

A graduate of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and a student of the renowned pianist and pedagogue Emile Naoumoff, the last disciple of Nadia Boulanger, Jayanat has established himself as one of Thailand's leading pianists on the international stage.

As a returning soloist with the RBSO, he has received critical acclaim for performances of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.1 and No.5, as well as Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini, collaborating with distinguished conductors including Michel Tilkin, Kah Chun Wong and Slawomir Grenda.

Tickets cost 400, 800, 1,000 and 1,500 baht and can be purchased from thaiticketmajor.com.
