
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) said on Wednesday that it remains prepared to ensure a well-functioning financial system, adding that its next interest rate decision would be as scheduled on March 25.
RBNZ also said it would release a statement on its high level principles on unconventional monetary policy tools on March 10, although this statement would not discuss current economic conditions or the cash rate.
The U.S. Federal Reserve cut interest rates on Tuesday ahead of its scheduled meeting in a bid to shield the world's largest economy from the impact of the coronavirus.
