WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) said on Monday that any new rules from the review of bank capital requirements would take effect in April next year.
RBNZ said it received 164 submissions on the proposal as well as in feedback through briefings with banks, industry bodies, investors, the news media, and social sector groups.
The bank was in the process of appointing external experts to review the analysis and advice underpinning the proposals. A decision would be announced by the end of November.
