RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer sends warning to Manchester United ahead of Champions League fixture

RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has warned Manchester United to expect a much better showing from his side when they meet in the Champions League this week.

United travel to Germany for the final match in Group H on Tuesday night knowing they will qualify for the knockout stages of the competition as long as they avoid defeat.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side blitzed Leipzig with a 5-0 win when they met at Old Trafford earlier in the group phase, but Sabitzer is certain his side will put in an improved performance this time around.

The Austrian international insists his side are well up for the game and he is 'convinced' they have what it takes to secure a famous win.

“We’re looking ahead to the game against Manchester United on Tuesday," Sabitzer told the club website. “We want to reach the knockouts at all costs. We’re really up for the game and I’m convinced that we are capable of winning.”

Leipzig showcased their incredible character as they held Bayern Munich to a 3-3 draw in the Bundesliga at the weekend and after the game manager Julian Nagelsmann spoke of the growing momentum within his squad.

"A performance like today's give you momentum going into the game against Manchester United," the Leipzig manager said. "It always gives a team a good feeling when they bring such a strong game against one of the best teams in Europe. The boys are machines, they need to be aware of that looking ahead to Tuesday's game."
