RB Leipzig defender responds to Mason Greenwood Manchester United diving accusations

RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate responded cryptically on social media to an accusation of diving against Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.

The Bundesliga side secured a spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League at the expense of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side following a 3-2 victory in Germany.

Early goals from Manchester City loanee Angelino and midfielder Amadou Haidara put the hosts in control, with the lead then added to in the second period by Justin Kluivert.

United did stage a late fightback with Bruno Fernandes scoring from the penalty spot and Paul Pogba finding the net via a deflection off Harry Maguire, but couldn't find a third goal.

The game was not without controversy as the decision to award United a penalty following a coming-together between Konate and Greenwood was sccutinised.

Some even went as far of accusing Greenwood of diving and, without saying any words, Konate has waded into the debate with a post on social media.

Konate tweeted '...' alongside a shared tweet that read: "Imagine if that was Salah or Mane. Would be front-page news. But Greenwood is English so no-one cares," alongside a video of the incident.
