RB Leipzig have tabled an offer for Manchester United target Erling Haaland, the Bundesliga side have confirmed.

The RB Salzburg star is among Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top targets for the January transfer window having scored an incredible 28 goals in 22 appearances this season.

Following reports that Solskjaer flew out to Austria for talks with the player last week, the United boss revealed on Sunday Haaland has made a decision over his next move.

Leipzig have not given up hope of landing the Norway international, however.

"We have shown what we can offer him and which part he could play in our team. It's now up to him," Krösche told Kicker.

Leizpig head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed last week he had also met with Haaland to convince him his future lies in Germany.

"I tried to explain to him in good English what my idea of football is. I think it went quite well," Nagelsmann said.
