RB Leipzig chief makes Timo Werner transfer admission as Liverpool rumours continue

Rumoured Liverpool transfer target Timo Werner has made no decision over his future.

The German international has scored an incredible 27 goals this term and been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent months.

These rumours ramped up following Werner's comments in which he admitted he would love to play for Jurgen Klopp's team.

Though, RB Leipzig CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff, has said the 25-year-old has not yet made it clear if he in fact wants to move on this summer.

The Leipzig chief is calm about the situation. He told Sky as cited by Goal : "I'm deeply relaxed about Werner.

"He hasn't signalled yet that he wants to leave beyond this season, and he doesn't have to. He has a contract until 2023."

With the coronavirus crisis potentially set to have an economic impact on future transfers, Mintzlaff has said the Bundesliga outfit would not be willing to sell any of their players under what they are valued at.

Werner is reported to have a release clause which is claimed would allow him to make a potential exit for around £53m with a whole host of clubs said to be eyeing a move for the striker.
