Police are investigating after five razor blades left on an East Belfast cycle path slashed a cyclist's bike tyre.
The man took to social media to hit out at the "wee present" wedged upright around a manhole cover at the top of Cregagh Road.
He said his brand new tyre "was b*******" after cycling over them on the path near the GP surgery on Saturday, July 20.
Sergeant Tom Donnelly added: "It was reported to police at around 3.45 pm, that a cyclist’s tyres had been damaged after running over the razor blades on Saturday afternoon.
"This is an incredibly dangerous thing to do and whoever was responsible could have caused serious injury or worse to anyone using the path had this not been found by a member of the public, who themselves were extremely lucky to avoid being badly hurt.
