A man has died after being hit by a train in south-west London.
Emergency services were called shortly before 9.30am to Raynes Park station.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) sent an air ambulance, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers attended the incident along with clleagues from London Ambulance Service, and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers will now work to identify the man and inform his family.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
In an update, a spokesman added that they were not treating the incident as suspicious.
Services between London Waterloo and Woking have been subject to cancellations and delays of up to an hour, which is expected to carry on until at least 8pm, according to South West Trains.
In a statement, South West Trains said: “A person was hit by a train between London Waterloo and Woking earlier today.
“Whilst emergency services were on sit to deal with this incident, we were unable to run any trains on our suburban network.
“Before travelling you should heck whether your train will be running on our website or at your departure station.
“London Buses, Thameslink, Southern London Underground and Great Western Railway are accepting South West Trains’ ticket holders."
