Rayners Lane crash: Elderly man dies after being hit by car in north west London

Police were today seeking witnesses after an elderly man was knocked down and killed by a car in north-west London.

The victim, 74, was found with severe injuries after the crash at about 6pm last night, close to Rayners Lane Tube station.

He died in hospital.

Scotland Yard said his next of kin were aware and the driver of the car, a black Vauxhall Mokka, is assisting officers.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
