Ray Lewis to be on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

During his playing days, Ravens legend Ray Lewis always performed his trademark squirrel dance coming out of the tunnel on Sundays. Years later, he’s taking those dance moves to television.

Lewis is set to appear on the 28th season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” which premieres on Sept. 16. The news was announced on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday morning.

Lewis is the latest athlete to try his hand at dancing on the popular TV show. Emmitt Smith won the competition in Season 3, while Donald Driver won when he was on the show in Season 7. Other NFL players to appear on “Dancing with the Stars” include Von Miller, Jerry Rice and Antonio Brown.

Former NBA star Lamar Odom will also be on the upcoming season with Lewis.

Lewis spent 17 years in the NFL, all with the Ravens. He finished his Hall of Fame career with 2,055 tackles, 41.5 sacks and 31 interceptions.
