With Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry poised to become the NBA’s career leader in 3-pointers, the man who owns the record Curry is about to break congratulated him on the impending honor Tuesday afternoon.
Hall of Famer Ray Allen extended his best wishes to Curry in a heartfelt Instagram message.
Curry enters Tuesday night’s game at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks with 2,972 career 3-pointers. Allen, who has held the record since 2011, retired with 2,973 career 3-pointers in 2014.
