Popular vegan cake shop Rawnchy is to open up a new venue, in the east end of Glasgow.
Since 2016, Rawnchy founder Poppy Murricane has been crafting colourful, creative no-bake cakes and opened her first cafe on 58 Maryhill Road, near St George's Cross, in 2018.
She has quickly carved a signature style that has gone down a storm with health-minded foodies in the city; her cakes are dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free, soya free and organic.
And now Glasgow's eastenders will be able to tuck in to Rawnchy's delicious desserts, with the news Poppy will be opening up at a new venue in Dennistoun.
Commenting on social media, she said: "Well guys! The rumours have been flying and so YES! It’s true!
"We’ve have signed our second lease on a second property in...DENNISTOUN!! Watch out East Enders we comin’ for ya!"
Meanwhile, Poppy revealed more details about what cake fans can expect from the second store, while thanking Glasgow for its custom over the past year.
She added: "The second property will initially house our wholesale kitchen and in a few months time will start to become a second Rawnchy café.
"The Maryhill Road café will be expanding as our big kitchen there will be moved to Dennistoun. We’ll be doubling our seating capacity and expanding our savoury menu to include breakfast options, more lunch options and afternoon tea.
"It’s been a very scary decision to make but no one ever grew by staying safely inside their comfort zone.
"Stay tuned with our progress and wish us luck!!!
"Thanks for all being so loving and supportive- we could never have dreamed that we would be here one day and it’s ALL THANKS TO YOU GUYS."
