Ravenshead Farm Shop with 'lauded lamb chops' to make changes to benefit customers

The Ravenshead Farm Shop on the main road in Ravenshead has submitted plans to install a toilet on site amid other changes to the premises. A proposed rear extension to the existing shop will benefit both staff and customers.

The popular farm shop has sought approval to remove an existing rear timber store shed and an extension to NW boundary curtilage and the retention of three cold stores.

Owner Craig Voce said: "We are making an extension and looking to add toilets. We are also adding a little bit of room for preparation and toilet facilities for staff and customers."

The store, which customers say is one of the best farm shops in Nottingham, serves a selection of meats, cheeses, sausage rolls and pasties. There are also award-winning homemade pies that the store sells as a specialty.

It has also had rave reviews from customers, in particular about the Barnsley lamb chops that the store stocks. Some of the reviews even claim that the sausage rolls are the best in Nottingham.

One customer wrote in a review: "I love this place, the meat is of excellent quality, the Barnsley lamb chops are the best lamb I have ever tasted and I'm from the salt marsh lamb area of the Gower, I have to take lamb chops back to Wales when I visit. The staff are great fun as well, plus the shop in shops are very good."
