It’s almost time for the Baltimore Ravens to kick things off against the Seattle Seahawks.
The writers here at Ravens Wire have already tossed out their bold predictions for this game. Now they’re predicting how the game will play out completely with the final score. Take a look at what we’re thinking will happen between the Ravens vs. Seahawks in Week 7.
Matthew Stevens:
Ravens 28 – Seahawks 34
I think the Ravens are on the right track and will improve over the course of the season but this isn’t the game they show it in. Baltimore has been dreadful on the road under coach John Harbaugh and have to play in one of the loudest stadiums in professional sports. That won’t help a team that has routinely shot themselves in the foot in the best of circumstances lately.
Mistakes are the key here as the Ravens actually outclass the Seahawks for four quarters but can’t get out of their own way long enough to pull out the win. This is a game we look back on and talk about how they could have won without just one of those turnovers or if a ball bounced their way.
Neil Dutton:
Ravens 24 – Seahawks 27
It’ll be a high scoring affair between two teams whose past defensive strength is now a distant memory. But in the end, the Seahawks’ MVP-caliber quarterback Russell Wilson will make one play too many for the Ravens to stop.
Wola Odeniran:
Ravens 30 – Seahawks 17
The Ravens are underdogs but I think this game will surprise a lot of people across the league. In rainy conditions, I think Baltimore’s rushing attack will be able to take advantage of a Seahawks run defense that allows 4.7 yards-per-carry. That, in turn, will help keep Seattle’s MVP worthy quarterback Russell Wilson on the sidelines.
I also like Baltimore’s defense in this game. With Ravens free safety Earl Thomas coming back to a stadium that has cheered him for many years, he knows what the Seahawks’ offense is all about. I expect his experience to play a large role in this game. In addition, you have to like the trade the Ravens made earlier this week by acquiring cornerback Marcus Peters from the Los Angeles Rams. I expect Peters to make a huge impact as well.
Alex Bente:
Ravens 28 – Seahawks 30
I think the Ravens give the Seahawks about all they can handle but the better team will prevail. We are looking at two very similar teams in Baltimore and Seattle, but while the Ravens are still building and perfecting their new offensive system, the Seahawks have it down under veteran and potential MVP QB Russell Wilson. The level of efficiency each team presents on offense will be the difference in this one.
Kevin Oestreicher:
Ravens 24 – Seahawks 28
It hurts every time I pick against the Ravens, but with weather impacting the game, injuries, and a suspect pass rush against arguably the best quarterback in football right now I think it will be a tough game for Baltimore. I expect it to be a close, exciting game that comes down to one or two plays, but ultimately I think the Ravens fall
