The Baltimore Ravens are fighting for the top of the AFC North this week as they take on the Cleveland Browns. Though they hold a lead over Cleveland, Baltimore could find themselves in second if they don’t win today. On the other hand, a Week 4 win over the Browns would effectively give the Ravens a three-game lead at the quarter mark.
The writers here at Ravens Wire put together their bold predictions for this game and now they’ve written down their final score predictions as well. Here’s how we think Baltimore’s Week 4 game against Cleveland will go.
Matthew Stevens:
Ravens 27 – Browns 23
While I refuse to believe the hype surrounding Cleveland until they actually show they can put it on the field consistently, there’s no denying their talent this season. They’re struggling and on paper, Baltimore should absolutely demolish them. But you have to throw out records when AFC North teams clash. However, the consistency and leadership the Ravens have is the winning edge this week in a far too close game that gives Baltimore a hefty lead over the rest of the division.
Alex Bente:
Ravens 27 – Browns 17
Baltimore returns home after its first loss of the season with a big chip on its shoulder. Enter the haphazard Browns, who have notoriously fared poorly when playing at M&T Bank Stadium. While I don’t expect this one to be a blowout, I do imagine the Ravens having control from the get-go. The Browns will make some plays to keep it closer than Ravens fans would prefer, but the home team’s resolve and coaching will ultimately give them the edge Sunday.
Chuck Mills:
Ravens 24 – Browns 13
While I know that AFC North teams tend to play harder against each other and that the Browns do have some talent on their roster, that doesn’t change the fact that they’ve looked bad so far this season. Cleveland’s offense has underwhelmed with stale playcalling and some of the worst offensive line play in the NFL. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has also been struggling this season, instead of becoming the elite passer he was hyped up to become this offseason. I do believe that the Browns’ defense will give the Ravens’ offense a hard time at points during this game and the Browns will be able to put up some points on the defense, I think that the Ravens will pull through on this one, with their superior coaching and execution.
Neil Dutton:
Ravens 27 – Browns 21
A rather high scoring affair, taking into consideration both sides are struggling in the secondary. The Ravens will allow the Browns to hang around and even take the lead late in the proceedings. But the Ravens, and Lamar Jackson, will be able to pull off the win thanks to a back-breaking, game-winning drive.
Wola Odeniran:
Ravens 24 – Browns 21
The last couple of matchups between the Ravens and the Browns have been close and I don’t expect it to be any different this time around. With the Ravens pass defense allowing over 340 yards in each of the last two games, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield might have a big day. But I think the Ravens offense led by Lamar Jackson to do enough to control the clock and grind out a victory.
