The Baltimore Ravens saw their window to make a trade to improve their roster come and go on Tuesday afternoon, as the 2021 trade deadline passed with not much activity. After plenty of rumors and speculation, Baltimore decided to stand pat and not make any moves, stirring up plenty of opinions about what the team should or shouldn’t have done.
If the Ravens were to make a trade, there were a few positions that were identified as ones that could use outside reinforcements, such as running back, offensive line, inside linebacker and cornerback. There were plenty of options available, but as head coach John Harbaugh said yesterday to the media, he wasn’t counting on a move being made.

Ravens can still add by signing UFAs or picking up a player through waivers (although they will be near the bottom of the claim list because of their record).

Names such as running back James Robinson, Marlon Mack and Phillip Lindsay were mentioned as good fits for the team, as were offensive linemen Morgan Moses and Andre Dillard. On the defensive side of the ball, some thought that Baltimore could be players for cornerback Kyle Fuller, but no moves came to fruition.
The Ravens now move forward with the same roster they had entering Tuesday, but they will be getting some pieces back in the coming weeks with tight end Nick Boyle, defensive lineman Derek Wolfe and cornerback Chris Westry. While some thought that Baltimore could make even just a minor move at the trade deadline, it wasn’t meant to be.
