Ravens rookie OL Siragusa out for season after sustaining multiple tears in knee

The Ravens got the worst possible news on the status of offensive guard Nico Siragusa's left knee.

The rookie fourth-round pick, who was carted off the field late in Tuesday's practice, tore the anterior cruciate, medial collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee, sources confirmed.

He's expected to miss his entire rookie season, becoming the seventh Raven since June 1 to be lost for the entire year because of an injury, suspension or retirement.

Siragusa's knee got rolled up on during a goal-line drill after running back Buck Allen dove toward the end zone. The former San Diego State standout was unable to put any weight on his left leg as he was helped onto a training cart.

He was expected to occupy a reserve role along the interior of the offensive line and he was even getting some work in with the first team during Tuesday's practice.

His injury puts even more pressure on general manager Ozzie Newsome to add offensive line depth.

NFL Network first reported the extent of Siragusa's injuries.
