Ravens release second injury report for Week 11 matchup vs. Bears

The Baltimore Ravens are entering Week 11 as one of the most injury-riddled teams in the NFL. Despite the injury woes, the team has persevered their lead in the AFC North, putting together a 6-3 record.

On Thursday, the Ravens released their second injury report ahead of a Week 11 matchup with the Chicago Bears. The report lists a plethora of players who are mentioned for numerous reasons, including quarterback Lamar Jackson, who missed his second-straight practice with an illness.

Headlining the list are a few players, including tight end Nick Boyle (knee) who was a full participant at practice on Thursday. Boyle suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2020. The tight end will look to make his season debut on Sunday if everything falls into place.

Reports on Jacksons’ illness are that it is not COVID-19 related. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman also missed Thursday’s practice due to an illness. Center Bradley Bozeman returned as a full participant after missing Wednesday’s practice with an illness.

Players who were limited in practice include cornerbacks Tavon Young (ankle) and Jimmy Smith (hip), offensive lineman Patrick Mekari (ankle) and running back Latavius Murray (ankle). Murray appears to be trending in the right direction at returning on Sunday following the release of running back Le’Veon Bell. A full practice on Friday would almost guarantee his return in Week 11.

Wide receiver Marquise Brown (thigh), defensive tackle Brandon Williams (shoulder) outside linebacker Pernell McPhee (knee) were also held out of practice. Closing out the report is tackle Alejandro Villanueva who was given a day of rest.
