The Baltimore Ravens continue to put in work, re-signing their own players. A week after signing tight end Nick Boyle to a contract extension, the Ravens are bringing back a special-teams player.
According to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec and the player himself, the team re-signed cornerback Davontae Harris. The move comes three weeks after the team released Harris along with a handful of other players, including quarterback Robert Griffin III. The details of Harris’ contract are unclear at this time, though with a reserve role on defense, it’s not likely to be very long or expensive. That’s especially the case considering Baltimore is expected to be tight up against the salary cap this offseason.
Initially, the Ravens signed Harris off waivers ahead of their Week 12 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in just four games before heading to injured reserve, notching a pass defense, forced fumble, and 10 combined tackles.
