Ravens RB Gus Edwards shares thoughts on fellow RB Ty’Son Williams

The Baltimore Ravens will be without running back J.K. Dobbins for the entirety of the 2021 season, as he suffered a torn ACL during the team’s 37-3 preseason win over the Washington Football Team. Baltimore will miss the production of the second-year player, but have multiple running backs waiting in the wings to help move forward without him.

Two of those players are running backs Gus Edwards and Ty’Son Williams. Edwards has had plenty of success at the NFL level, while Williams is looking to prove himself. When Edwards was asked about the second-year rusher, the fourth-year player had high praise for Williams.

“Since we signed him last year, he’s been doing a great job in practice. Everybody gets to see how hard he runs now. He makes a lot of good decisions, and he’s going to do a lot of good things for us this year.”

With Dobbins, out, Edwards will now take on the lionshare of the carries, while Williams and Justice Hill will be next in line for work. Williams showed many great skills during the 2021 preseason, and will hope to carry those over into the regular season where he could make a massive impact with a projected big increase in opportunities.
