Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to appear on ‘Celebrity Family Feud’

Show me “dual-threat quarterback”!

If you surveyed 100 people about places you wouldn’t expect to see Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson this offseason, “Celebrity Family Feud” might top the list. Well, you’ll get your chance to see Jackson on television Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.

Jackson’s NFLPA All-Star “family” will include Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb, New Orleans Saints wideout Michael Thomas, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward and New England Patriots corner Stephon Gilmore. Together, they’ll take on the NFLPA Legends, a team of Pro Football Hall of Famers comprising Tim Brown, Dermontti Dawson, Jackie Slater, Aeneas Williams and Brian Urlacher.

File this under “stuff I never knew I wanted to see” from the Ravens’ phenom, although it’s interesting Jackson is already being considered an “All-Star.” While he had some success on the ground last season and enters this year as the starter, Jackson is far from being at the top of the league. Many fans believe Jackson is simply a blip on the radar and a gimmick that will fade out, while others truly believe he’s the next big thing in the NFL.

Either way, I hope Jackson spent more time studying offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s revamped playbook instead of potential questions from Steve Harvey. If Jackson’s game-show ability is as dynamic as his on-field prowess, he should help his team bring home the big win . . . for charity, of course.
