Ravens player tried to use Twitter to get a date, but got roasted instead

Pro athletes are just like us! They, too, can be just as clueless as the rest of us when it comes to dating. Take Ravens TE Hayden Hurst, for instance. The second-year pro felt he missed an opportunity to strike up a conversation with a woman he saw at the airport and decided to put out a rather desperate feeler on Twitter.

I’m going to assume Hurst never actually spoke to this woman, which makes the #theonethatgotaway hashtag more creepy than endearing. But not everyone saw it that way. Some, including Hurst’s former teammate Terrell Suggs, gave the tight end props for shooting his shot…

Is it, though? Hurst isn’t shooting his shot. He’s firing a flare into the sky and hoping someone sees it. Suggs should be shaming Hust into better behavior — not encouraging him.

Others weren’t so nice…

That includes Hurst’s Ravens teammate Tony Jefferson, who responded appropriately, leading to a hilarious exchange…

Hurst may not realize it, but Jefferson is being a good teammate and an even better friend.
