Ravens OLB Odafe Oweh fined for hit on Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater

The Baltimore Ravens picked up a win against the Denver Broncos by the final score of 23-7 in a game that Baltimore dominated over the final three quarters. There were multiple points where the tides turned, but unfortunately one of those events involved an injury, as Baltimore outside linebacker Odafe Oweh hit Denver quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and knocked him out of the game with a concussion.

Oweh himself said there was no ill intent behind the hit, and it looks like the outside linebacker is absolutely just trying to make a football play and nothing else. However, on Saturday Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shed light on the fact that the league still decided to come down on the rookie, fining him $11,457 for the hit.

The fine marks the first of Oweh’s NFL career. In related news, Ravens safety Chuck Clark was not fined for his hit on Broncos WR Diontae Spencer.
