The Baltimore Ravens have absolutely the best kicker in the game. And in Week 5 in the Ravens’ overtime win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tucker showed his value. Tucker hit on all four of his field-goal attempts, including a 48-yarder to send it to overtime and a 46-yarder to win the game.
For his performance, Tucker won the AFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week award for Week 5. It’s Tucker’s 10th time winning the weekly award in his eight-year career.
Tucker is the most accurate kicker in NFL history, connecting on 90.5% of his field goals throughout his career. But Tucker hasn’t made a living on just being accurate on easy chip shots, he’s got the big leg to go with the accuracy.
In 117 career games, Tucker has gone 39-of-55 on field goals from 50-plus yards. He’s gone 208-of-218 on field goals shorter than 50 yards. Through five games this season, Tucker has been absolutely perfect on both field goals and extra point, one of just four kickers in the league to hold that distinction right now.
