Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman talked this week about the lack of opportunities for rookie wide receiver Miles Boykin. Roman said Boykin had to keep fighting and working hard to make the most of the opportunities he is given. And Boykin apparently took it to heart, making a diving nine-yard touchdown reception.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson bought some time with his feet, avoiding the pass rush. That gave Boykin enough time to break free and split two defenders. Jackson threw the ball where only Boykin could make the catch and it was a beautiful one.
This was Boykin’s first reception of the game. It’s only the third reception for Boykin this season but he’s making the most of them as two have been for touchdowns.
