After missing time in the summer with an injury, there was concern rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown would take some time to make a contribution. He immediately settled those concerns by taking his first-ever catch and running for a 47-yard touchdown. And then he really settled those concerns by doing that again on the Ravens next drive.
Lamar Jackson took advantage of the protection that his offensive line gave him, sitting in the pocket and waiting for Brown to get open downfield. Then he let loose and it was all Brown from there, who ran it in for an 83-yard touchdown, his second of the game.
Brown has already made some huge contributions by catching two passes for long touchdowns, showing off the speed that made him such an attractive prospect early in the season. If he keeps this up, Brown might finally be the receiver that the Ravens and their fans have been looking for.
