The Tennessee Titans have had the Baltimore Ravens’ number the past two seasons, with the Titans winning each of the last two meetings.
The bigger of those two wins came in the Divisional Round of last year’s playoffs, where the Titans shocked the world and upset the Ravens, 28-12.
More recently, Tennessee topped Baltimore in Week 11, 30-24, in overtime, and appeared to get into the Ravens’ heads thanks to some pregame shenanigans that set head coach John Harbaugh off.
But don’t expect the Ravens to harp on what has happened in the past, as Harbaugh explained to this week, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN:
“We’re just focused on the game,” Harbaugh said. “Previous games have little bearing. It’s got some history, the rivalry does sure. But what impact does any of that have on the next game?”
Outside linebacker Matthew Judon echoed those sentiments:
“Man, we’re not worried about last year,” Judon said. “If we could get last year back, we would go back to last year. I don’t know why you all want to continue to talk about it — we’re in 2021. Last year is last year, and right now is right now.”
At some point, you have to figure that Tennessee’s recent success against Baltimore will end. Let’s see if that happens when these two teams kick off at 12:05 p.m. CT in Nashville this Sunday.
