Ravens fans react to Joe Flacco’s trade to Broncos

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to trade quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos. It’s reportedly for a mid-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. The sudden news of a deal being worked out got fans out of their office chairs on Wednesday and on Twitter to share their reactions. I hit up those online to give me their best thoughts and feelings on Flacco being traded and chose the best ones below.

Many fans were appreciative of what Flacco did for the franchise and look back on his time in Baltimore with respect.

Some were ready to move on from Flacco and enter the Lamar Jackson era.

Meanwhile, some just used Flacco’s trade as an excuse to bash Jackson.

Lamar will put this team into the ground with fumbles and no passing game . Lot of ravens fans are now broncos fans.

But most recognized it as a good move for both the Ravens and Broncos. Baltimore gets to move on from Flacco and really pass the torch to Jackson while Denver gets the starting quarterback they so desperately need.

It's a win-win. The Ravens get a draft pick and Flacco's salary off the books and Flacco gets a fresh start with a team that could potentially turn into a playoff contender with better qb play.

Joe now has Courtland Sutton, Emmanuel Sanders, Philip Lindsay, and the thin Denver air to work with. Broncos will add a speedster (John Brown?) and Joe will have a resurgence. Too bad Kubiak won’t be there too.

I just wish the Ravens could have got a 2nd or 3rd at worst pick; 4th isn’t much of a get for Joe Cool. Denver’s looking nice in this to me Baltimore got a parting gift.
