Ravens DL Brandon Williams opens up on son’s progress through Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital

The Baltimore Ravens selected defensive lineman Brandon Williams in the third round of the 2013 draft out of Missouri Southern State University. In a story from the WBAL, shortly after moving to Baltimore, Williams’ then-10 month old son was having some difficulties that concerned him and his wife Alyssa.

Williams, his wife, and Ryder would go back and forth between Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital to see what they could do about Ryder and his eating and walking troubles. In their time working with Mt. Washington, Ryder was able to learn how to eat solid foods and correct an inward gait with the help of specialists at the hospital.

Ryder is now able to eat, walk without falling, and dress himself, so a new ability center is going to be named after the nine-year-old.
