Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey tries to recruit Steelers WR Antonio Brown on Twitter

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has officially requested a trade, according to Ian Rapoport. While the Baltimore Ravens are almost assuredly the last team Pittsburgh would ever trade Brown to, it isn’t stopping Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey from trying.

The relationship between the Steelers and Brown has been on the decline since the final weeks of the regular season. But now with Brown formally requesting a trade, it appears as though it’s beyond repair. The question is where Brown will wind up.

With the ball in Pittsburgh’s court, they’re likely going to receive a flood of offers for the All-Pro wide receiver. It’s up to them to decide which offer is the best and where they want Brown to go. But it’s beyond rare to see a trade within the division as it would give a rival a huge leg up. It’s far more likely we’ll see Brown be traded out of the AFC entirely to minimize how often the Steelers would have to face off against him.

Brown has arguably been the best receiver in the league since being selected in the 2010 NFL draft. Over nine seasons, Brown has caught 837 passes for 11,207 yards and 74 touchdowns. It would be a massive boon for the Ravens if they were somehow able to land Brown this offseason.

Baltimore players also appear to be trying to woo Pittsburgh free agent running back Le’Veon Bell to the Ravens this offseason as well. That was after Bell responded on Twitter to pundits landing the running back with Baltimore this offseason.
