Ravens cancel practice for team-building activity

NFL training camp and preseason are tough and downright grueling. Between practice, recovery, film study, playbook study and everything else that goes into every single day, the players could use a bit of a break. Under coach John Harbaugh, the Baltimore Ravens have routinely gotten a surprise day off from practice to enjoy a team-building activity.

Harbaugh is at it again for today’s practice, appearing to take the team to the movies.

Last year, the Ravens rookies went to Hershey Park. The year before, Harbaugh took the team out to play paintball.

Most teams typically do something similar about this time of year. It’s a bit of a reward for working so hard and an additional day of rest when they really need it. For the players, it really does help bring everyone a little closer after beating each other up all summer.

There’s been no indication which movie the team is watching but given Harbaugh’s slogans for each training camp, it’s bound to have a message of perseverance through adversity.
