Ravens bolster offense in latest three-round 2023 NFL mock draft by CBS Sports

The Baltimore Ravens have plenty of directions they could go in during the 2023 NFL draft. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding what will happen between the team and quarterback Lamar Jackson, and whether he stays or goes will determine how Baltimore uses their draft capital.

In the latest three-round mock draft by CBS Sports, Josh Edwards has the Ravens adding to their offensive unit with rookies, first by trading Jackson to the Indianapolis Colts for a package that includes the No. 4 overall pick. With that selection, Edwards has Baltimore selecting Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson to replace Jackson.

“Trade! Baltimore sends quarterback Lamar Jackson to Indianapolis in exchange for a package that includes the No. 4 overall selection. With the selection, the Ravens select their replacement for Jackson in Anthony Richardson.”

Then at their original pick at No. 22, Edwards adds a wide receiver to the mix in TCU’s Quentin Johnston.

“Baltimore gets a big, vertical outlet for rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, who the Ravens drafted with the fourth overall pick received from the Colts in the Lamar Jackson trade. Quentin Johnston is unordinary for a bigger wide receiver because of his ability to make plays post-catch.”

Finally in the third round at pick No. 86, Edwards selects UAB running back DeWayne McBride, rounding out an offense-centric draft for the Ravens. Baltimore would be able to move forward with a young offense and a quarterback on a rookie contract in this scenario, as well as the other assets received for Jackson.
