Ravens announce QB Lamar Jackson, ST coach T.J. Weist will not travel with team to Cincinnati

The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a pivotal Week 16 matchup that has major AFC North implications. With a win, Baltimore will reclaim it’s spot on top of the AFC North, while with a loss the Ravens will have lost both games to Cincinnati.

Baltimore is currently in a pinch at the quarterback position, as both Tyler Huntley and Chris Streveler were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list at different points in the week. Only Josh Johnson and recent call up Kenji Bahar remain as the healthy quarterbacks on the Ravens’ roster, as the team announced that Lamar Jackson (and special teams coach T.J. Weist) will not travel to Cincinnati in Week 16.

Jackson suffered an ankle injury during Baltimore’s Week 14 loss to the Cleveland Browns and hasn’t played since. Some were holding out a sliver of hope that the fourth-year signal caller could give the Ravens a Christmas miracle and suit up in Week 16, but now that he isn’t traveling it will be Johnson at the helm in the biggest game of Baltimore’s season.
