Ravens activate OLB Matthew Judon from Reserve/COVID-19 list

The Baltimore Ravens got one of their eight players back from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. The team announced outside linebacker Matthew Judon had been activated back to the 53-man roster on Thursday, returning to practice. Now it’s a waiting game for the rest.

Baltimore had originally placed eight players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after being labeled as being in “high-risk close contact” with cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who tested positive from Sunday’s pre-game test on Monday. Though Humphrey isn’t eligible to return for Week 9’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, the other seven players on the list are.

With Judon returning Thursday, it gives some hope the others will be able to return in the coming days as well. Per the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols, players in “high-risk close contact” have to isolate for a minimum of five days without a positive test or showing symptoms. Though it’s expected few of the players will be able to return for practice this week, there’s a chance the Ravens will have everyone in uniform for Sunday’s game.
