Ravens 2019 training camp kicks off on July 17

Teams are finished with organized team activities and mandatory minicamp, entering a little break before the real work begins. The NFL released the full lineup of training camp start dates for this year and the Baltimore Ravens will kick theirs off near the middle of July.

According to the press release, Baltimore’s rookies will start a week ahead of time on July 17. The first full-team training camp practice for the Ravens will begin on July 24 at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, MD.

Baltimore will have a lot to do in a very short time. The final roster cutdown deadline is on Aug. 30, meaning the Ravens will have just over a month to figure out how to whittle down to 53 players from a roster of 91. Baltimore will also be trying to fully install their new offense under new coordinator Greg Roman. Of course, trying to acclimate all the rookies and new free-agent additions is on the checklist as well. Oh, and toss in four preseason games as well as two sets of practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles in that stretch.

This will be a tough training camp for the Ravens but one that helps set the foundation for the future. It’s also the first point where fans can begin catching a glimpse of the team.

Baltimore had previously announced they would be opening up 15 training camp practices to fans, including one at M&T Bank Stadium.
