Ravel Morrison hits back at former teammate Wilfried Zaha over their England bust-up

Ravel Morrison has told Wilfried Zaha to "state facts" after the Crystal Palace star recalled their on-pitch bust-up during an England Under-21 match in 2013.

The Young Lions cruised to a 5-0 win over Lithuania but the occasion was marred by Morrison and Zaha clashing during the match.

Zaha recently lifted the lid on the incident and explained he was angered by what he perceived as selfishness by Morrison, who was then contracted at West Ham.

"He was just getting me mad. He was moving like he was Ronaldinho and the rest of us were just no one," Zaha told the On The Judy Podcast .

Redmond was forced to intervene as Zaha and Morrison clashed (NA)

"He was getting the ball and he was just doing tricks and the only time he passes it if he really needs to.

"We're just stood there with our hands on our hips while he's going past six Lithuanian players.

“And it's just like 'what are you doing?’.

“It was that easy - the team that we had, we had such good players and we can all do that, we can all hog the ball and go past all of them but we're not doing it.

"We're trying to be professional, play properly but he was just on his own thing.

“I just had enough, I was like ‘what are you doing?' and out of the blue he just pushed me.

“I'm like ‘are you dumb?’, so I pushed him back and it was just nonsense on the pitch then when you go inside the man is silent."

Nathan Redmond was forced to separate the quarrelling teammates as emotions boiled over, but Morrison has suggested the incident played out differently.

The 28-year-old responded to Zaha's account with a number of Instagram posts, writing on his story "Wilfried, lol."

Morrison also posted "Come on, let's jump on a three-way live and state facts, what a dude," and added "Silent... please come on, let's talk serious, haha baffled."

The midfielder netted twice in the thrashing of Lithuania and the first of his goals was assisted by Zaha.

Redmond and then-Under 21 boss Gareth Southgate both insisted the issue was dealt with at the time, but it appears there is still bad blood between Morrison and Zaha.
