Tony Adams has labelled Raul Sanllehi and Edu as out of their depths as he hit out at Arsenal's recruitment process.
It looks set to be another summer of rebuilding at the Emirates as Mikel Arteta looks set to make his own stamp on the Arsenal squad.
Whilst the Gunners have brought in the likes of Nicolas Pepe and David Luiz in recent transfer windows, more is needed to turn the club into Champions League contenders.
Arsenal legend Adams has identified recruitment at the club as a key area of improvement and laid the blame for failings at the feet of his former teammate, technical director Edu, and head of football Sanllehi.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "My fundamental issue is with recruitment.
"I think the club is going through such a recruitment issue at the moment – it's not relying on agents.

"It took Steve Rowley 40 years to build that scouting network; it did brilliantly, got the best players from around the world.
"And it's just been blown up."
He added: "Edu, I love him, he's a beautiful man, it's not personal, but he has no experience of building European squads.
"Even Raul Sanllehi, came from Barcelona, all the money in the world, it don't look like he's going to get money.
"Those people are out of their depth, I'm sorry.
"They need to build a fantastic squad that challenges for the league and it hurts."
