Rathcoole threats: Housing workers withdraw after staff targeted

Housing Executive contractors have been forced to withdraw from areas of Rathcoole after receiving threats.

Workers for the NIHE tenant's services have been removed from a number of sites in the Rathcoole area following threats to staff and graffiti targeting contractors in the area.

The staff included those who were providing health and safety work.

The Housing Executive has said that the safety of its staff and contractors is "paramount" and has condemned the threats against them.
