Ratchanok Intanon says she needs to improve her physical fitness to become a better player.
The world No.6 Thai arrived home yesterday from Paris where she lost to top-ranked Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan in the French Open quarter-finals.
A week earlier, she beat the same opponent 2-1 in the semi-finals at the Denmark Open on her way to winning the title.
The 22-year-old came from behind to defeat Akane Yamaguchi in the title showdown in Odense.
"I had good results in the two tournaments in Europe because I had been well-prepared," said Ratchanok.
"I lost to Tai in the French Open because I was exhausted after two tough matches [in Denmark]. I have to be physically stronger."
Ratchanok will take a break and return to action at the China Open to be held in Fuzhou from Nov 14-19.
Following the draw, the Thai could again face Tai in the quarter-finals.
Ratchanok said she was confident that she would secure a berth for the season-ending Dubai World Superseries Finals in December.
"I have a high chance of being one of the eight [women's singles players] at the World Superseries Finals," said Ratchanok, who is currently ranked fourth in the Destination Dubai Rankings.
Meanwhile, Tai bounced back from her shock loss to Ratchanok at the Denmark Open by capturing the French Open title on Sunday.
The Taiwanese sealed a comfortable 21-4, 21-16 win over Yamaguchi in just 31 minutes in the final at Stade Pierre de Coubertin for her fourth Superseries title of the year.
In the men's singles final, India's Srikanth Kidambi defeated Kenta Nishimoto of Japan 21-14, 21-13.
It was Kidambi's fourth Superseries title of the season and second in a row after his triumph at the Denmark Open.
"I'm surprised with my fitness. The way we've been training the last 10 months is doing its part now," said the world No.4 Indian.
