Thai shuttler Ratchanok Intanon defeated Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in straight sets on Friday to earn a ticket through to the semi-finals of the Indonesia Masters badminton tournament in Jakarta.

The Thai fourth seed defeated the reigning world champion and the sixth ranking 21-17, 21-10 at the Istora Stadium to enter the final four.

The Thai will meet Saiha Nehwal of India in the next match on Saturday.

Ratchanok moved up a spot to No.4 after her recent impressive runs, including the win at the Malaysia Masters title last Sunday.
