Rashod Bateman reportedly week-to-week with groin injury

The Baltimore Ravens saw another one of their wide receivers go down with an injury during a training camp practice. On Tuesday, Rashod Bateman suffered a non-contact groin injury where he had to be helped to the sideline, but eventually limped off of the field.

Much was unknown initially after the injury, but later in the day it was reported by Mike Garafolo that Bateman suffered a groin injury and is considered week-to-week.

The rookie wide receiver had been dealing with muscle tightness before he suffered his latest injury, so it seems likely that Baltimore will give him all of the time he needs to recover. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Bateman miss all of the preseason, and with how complicated groin injuries can be, his absence could extend into the regular season.

It’s a crushing blow to both Bateman and the Ravens, as the wide receiver was expected to grow into a big part of the offense over the course of the regular season. Now that will have to be put on hold, as the most important thing is Bateman’s health as he hopefully fully recovers.
